You cannot always be armed in public, however whether armed or unarmed for ultimate personal safety you must be aware of your environment. Being aware of one’s surroundings and identifying potential threats or dangerous situations is a mindset.

Proper situational awareness is not something you simply get after some time as a concealed or open carrier licensee. Rather it is something that you must deliberately develop into a habit. Initially, they’re things you must think about and remember to do nearly all the time until they become unconscious behaviors.

A concealed carry permit holder in Springville, Utah, pulled his gun Friday and intervened to stop an attack against a police officer.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m., after an unidentified officer spotted Paul Douglas Anderson in a Tabatha’s Way donation bin. The officer ordered Anderson to get out and he allegedly exited the bin but refused to take his hands out of his pockets. When Anderson finally removed his hands, he allegedly did so in order to punch the officer in the face. Thereafter he allegedly punched the officer again and again.

Well depends on who you ask. Of course everyone has their own opinion on the best concealed firearms for women, and what works best for them, but today I got asked so I will give you my thoughts.

First, I believe it is always better on the body than off. If I have to try to dig into my purse to get my firearm, I might as well just swing the darn thing at them for all it will do in my purse.

Of course there are concealed carry purses, but even with those practice using it in situations like close contact/combat and trying to keep hold of your purse because your protection is inside it and still trying to fight off offender could become a difficult situation.

The other thought with conceal purses are when you get home to your family and maybe you have small children being able to secure your firearm and your purse so little ones are safe.
